  1. Not a surprise to anybody who wasn’t a die-hard remainer willing to take any opportunity to talk the UK down due to their hatred of Brexit.

Anyone with even a cursory knowledge of banking would know Frankfurt or Paris aren’t even in the same league as London when it comes to financial services, it was foolish to presume they would ever overtake the city. As much as I was reliably informed by posters on reddit that EU financial centres would eclipse London after Brexit.

  2. Wow! something posted on here that puts Brexit in a good light… Is that a pig I see flying outside my window?

  3. The UK, despite all it’s faults, has always been phenomenal within the financial services market. That’s one thing we do well at.

  4. Just because we have a world class financial sector doesn’t mean that Brexit was ever a good idea, comments are deranged.

  5. I’ll conseed here, I did think London would be fair much worse off. Even if its a case of “despite brexit” which it is.

Though I do wonder what the good people of the red wall think of the City being even bigger and swallowing more of the pie lol.

  6. I am just tired of these conversations. Why can’t there be a net impact report. It’s just so strange. It’s like measuring GDP change every few months instead of a longer period. This information in isolation is as good as saying Dyson is leaving. There is no net impact information to the country.

Saying London will continue to be a financial centre of EU makes no difference to the average persons life.
