[GdS] Marcus Thuram is expected to be out for around 20 days and will miss Inter’s upcoming matches Serie A matches against Lecce and Atalanta. It will be a “race against the clock” to recover for the second leg of the UCL tie against Atlético Madrid.

  1. If Morata did it (assuming without injections) then so can Thuram

  2. I’ll take 20 days over a month and even potentially more. The 9 point lead (and game in hand) will be enough cushion. Shitty news, but a bit relieved that it’s not more serious

  3. Hopefully Arnautovic will fill in. I hope the 2 goals boosted his self esteem

  4. If we can win 2, ideally 3 of the next 4 without him, we should be fine.

Lecce is a must. Genoa should hopefully be more manageable at home. Coincidentally, we were missing our other starting striker (and Dimarco) the last time we played both of them.

Atalanta…they’ll be on short rest too after they play Milan on Sunday, so that helps us. If we do drop points, it’s the game in hand so we wouldn’t lose ground.

Away at Bologna…it’s hard to be optimistic there.

Let’s hope he comes back quickly and ready for Atletico and Napoli. In the meantime, Arnautovic and Sanchez need to contribute. The midfield may have to pick up some scoring slack as well

  5. I am calm about Arnautovic. He began to feel like a cog in this team. The other real downside is that Lautaro won’t get a rest in the overloaded schedule. I am really curious to see whether at some point in any of the games we will see Mkhitaryan or Frattesi getting minutes substituting one of the front two.
