Why there is no chocolate m&m’s in Norway?

  1. I read something about certain U.S. food dyes not being legal in Norway/EU.

  2. They would have to adjust the recipe to fit local rules, and they likely found it wouldn’t be worth it, especially when our market is so small to begin with. They’d also have to compete with Non Stop (Which is simply a much better product). Simple market research yielded a “nah”.

    You can find them in Duty Free stores tho

  3. Because 2 companies have similar products with similar names and they couldn’t agree who had the right to market their product under “M”.

    Iirc M won over m&m by being the older of the two merkenavner.

  4. You might find them at the cinema. We had them in the pick and mix section when I worked there a few years ago.

  5. We have M’s, which are like a gourmet version of peanut M&Ms. Better chocolate, better sugar coating, better peanuts.
