I just found these Trainspotting promo post cards in a box of old stuff. They were freebies from Uni in ‘96!

  4. I was so obsessed with Trainspotting back in the day, watched it on repeat and repeat. I feel like I could hear the character’s voices when I read these. Off to see if I can stream it somewhere for some nostalgia

  7. I was a first year uni in 1997-1998 and I think Trainspotting was first shown on TV in the late spring of 1998. I remember it clearly because our halls were really, really warm and everyone had their windows open. The part where he tries to sneak out with the bedsheets sticks with me as all round the halls you could hear “errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh” when that scene finished 😀

  10. The Begbie quote is wrong. It’s meant to be “I’m the cunt with the pool cue and he can have the fat end in his puss anytime he fuckin’ wanted, like.”

  11. Fun fact: Kevin McKidd who played Tommy was on holiday when they did the photoshoots which is why he’s not in much/any of the marketing material for the movie.

    He also went on to provide the voice of Soap in *Call of Duty*.
