  1. But she did…

I don’t know how this government works with “top civil servants” who are meant to be neutral.

    It’s a scam.

  2. More measely mouthed political bollocks spouted by the unaffected while standing over the ruins of ordinary peoples lives.

I think the French showed us the way out of all of this some time ago.

  3. I can’t see any reason why the guy would make it up. He’s ready for retirement, has cash and a long track record in business and could have just disappeared onto a beach. He wasn’t at the post office for long and not at all in the days where Horizon was putting people in prison.
Saying he’s upset at being sacked is weak. He’s clearly a tougher character than that. The story of bullying disappeared because there’s no evidence of a complaint and has never been repeated outside of the libel free zone of parliament.

The number of people who are shafting the workers is amazing. To have so many in positions of power with so little empathy is worrying for this country .

  4. So a scapegoat for the MP who’s really behind his sacking etc (who also claims we have a trade talk with Canada in progress but surprise Canada says otherwise)

  5. Munby is sounding a lot like a Tory stooge here.

Staunton’s note on what Munby said:

“now was not the time for dealing with long term issues”.

“in the run up to the general election there was “no appetite to ‘rip off the band aid’” when it came to the Post Office’s finances and that the organisation “needed a plan to ‘hobble’ up to the election”.

Not a lot of room for interpretation in those words
