161 ground equipment (tanks, arty, trucks, APVs) destroyed. Attrition in action. Russian equipment not unlimited and is increasingly refurbished old junk. It works but it’s easy to kill.

Edit: 44930 ground equipment in total. Tomorrow is 45k. I think it’s just a month or six weeks ago it was 40k. Time flies like T-72 turrets.

And I though high numbers of artillery generally meant that Urkaine was pushing.

Russia has suffered more casualties in Ukraine than the US and Canada collectively suffered in all wars and conflicts since the end of WWII.
At least to me it is pretty clear that while Ukraine may (or may not) be counting it shells it is employing a very, very effective and aggressive defense using drones, missiles and smart fighting using every other tool it has at its disposal.
41 artillery, 5 MLRS (don’t remember the last time I saw 5 in the daily count), 2 SAM, 8 special equipment on top of the usual array of men, tanks and IFVs is an outstanding day.
We saw T 55 tanks showing up on the front and getting boffed.
And of course another jet. Couple hundred million in jets in the last few days, plus bonus pilots!

I expected the liquidated personnel to drop quite a bit after Ukraine withdrew its forces from Avdiivka but it’s still really high (the [7 day average](https://www.reddit.com/r/RussianLosses/comments/1awyq4z/estimated_russian_losses_from_24022022_to/) is 1164.3 per day).
