   Ukraine will have the right to strike with the help of American F-16 fighter jets against Russian military targets outside Ukraine. However, the allies have different opinions about strikes on Russian territory

   “Different allies have slightly different policies on this. But in general, this is Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine in gross violation of international law. And according to international law, Ukraine has the right to self-defense. And this also includes striking legitimate military targets – Russian military targets for borders of Ukraine. 4. To strike targets on ruzian soil two things are needed: jets must be able to compete with ruzian one and you need actual long range missiles. Both of those are currently – not there. Still no evidence that Ukraine will get not “the oldest modification” jets. As for long range missiles… you know how the things are.

   So it seems that current statement is just cheap way to get political points.

5. TL; DR — Ukraine will be able to do anything it wants to Russia that does not grossly violate the laws of war. Which is to say, zero change in policies for anyone. And not actually any news.

   Ukraine already attacks Russia whenever and however the opportunity presents itself. And they scrupulously observe the laws of war — as much as it is possible to do so, given that it is war. So as they start flying sorties against Russian bombers, there is no chance that there will be any problems with any of this.

   The only people who are upset are Russian trolls and bots who are programmed to complain about how Ukraine’s friends and allies are actually Ukraine’s enemies and are betraying them, unlike friendly neighbor Russia with its helping invasion hand.

   Or some bullshit like that, I can’t tell and let’s be honest, Russian junk propaganda isn’t worth the attention.
