Danish government pledges security guarantee to Ukraine through a promise of continued military and economical support for 10 years.
In addition, another financial aid package (number 15) aimed at procurement of drones, air defence and artillery ammunition has been announced.
Furthermore, both the Danish prime minister, as well as minister of defence, stressed that Denmark is looking into a massive investment in the nations own military that will go beyond the already announced historically large reinvestment in the Danish military.
The important note here is that it also binds coming governments at least to some degree, though every major party and danes in general are fairly Ukraine supporting, it’s smart to account for a political climate change.
Besides that it’s mostly signaling to both internal audience and the rest of NATO that there’s need for more.
Way to go Denmark! Now other European nations need to follow suit!
