When this starts happening, it’s game over.
The fall of Avdiyivka and the death of Aleksei Navalny should focus minds on the urgent need to support Ukraine, says NATO’s Jens Stoltenberg.

*On the question of when Ukraine will be able to deploy F-16 fighter jets, Stoltenberg said it was not possible to say.*
*He reiterated that Ukraine’s allies all want them to be there as early as possible but said the effect of the F-16s will be stronger if pilots are well-trained and maintenance crews and other support personnel are well-prepared.*
*“So, I think we have to listen to the military experts exactly when we will be ready to or when allies will be ready to start sending and delivering the F-16s,” he said. “The sooner the better.”*
*It will be up to each ally to decide whether to deliver F-16s to Ukraine, and allies have different policies, Stoltenberg said.*
*But at the same time, the war in Ukraine is a war of aggression, he said, and Ukraine has the right to self-defense, including striking legitimate Russian military targets outside Ukraine.*
Asking Ukraine not to attack Russia proper limits Ukraines options and only helps Russia. Imagine if Ukraine had launched their summer 2023 offensive towards Russia instead of the heavily fortified defensive lines in Ukraine.
What NATO needs to do is to provide what is necessary to fully destroy the Kerch bridge. One of the most important supply lines.

Before anybody gets too excited, it’s nor up to him. He’s just saying what he thinks. Wait for the countries supplying them to say so because that’s ultimately who gets to decide whether there are strings attached to their aid or not
Finally! Unfortunately it’s not Stoltenberg who gets to decide this, it’s the donor nations. Hopefully he has cleared his statement beforehand, I’d say it’s likely but we’ll see.
Russia is arguing their right to self defense includes invading Ukraine, so, yeah. Aside from it not being self defense in Russia’s case, of course.
How ridiculous is it that Ukraine can only use Western weapons in Ukraine when Russians are using Iranian drones and missiles on Ukrainian schools and hospitals. I’d be happy for Ukraine to use a storm shadow on the Kremlin if it were possible.
It’s absolutely ridiculous that limitations are still being placed on Ukraine whilst Russia murders people in Europe and receives endless supplies of missiles and artillery from NK and Iran. Time for the gloves to come off.
