Chinese surveillance and reconnaissance drone in the form of a male [Mandarin Duck](https://www.rspb.org.uk/birds-and-wildlife/mandarin-duck). (I ***LOVE*** this photo – adorable, innit…?🥰). Mrs. Mandarin Duck is pretty too.
I’m actually pretty surprised how many people still don’t recognise a Mandarin Duck, considering how ubiquitous they are (particularly in the south and west). They’re pretty well established here now (RSPB reckons there are at least 4,400 breeding pairs).
We’ve been infiltrated by the Chinese for decades; they think we won’t notice if their drones come in duck form…
