Well I wouldn’t want to live under russian occupation too
Russian occupation would mean oppression, slavery more or less. It is the duty of us in the West to give them the tools they need to make sure that does not happen.
Well…that zhalujny guy tried to recruit 500k ukrainians and basically zelensky said NO since there’s no volunteers left….
Im also hearing(not pro russian media) that ukrainians dont volunteer for the army anymore and forced conscription is close…so im taking this poll with a litle grain of salt.
Is this poll before or after 10 million Ukrainians left the country ?
Did they ask those who are in Ukraine? It’s easy to say that the war should continue if you are not in danger.
You’ve seen Bucha, what options do they have? Became a refugee in EU?
They don’t really have a choice.
kremlibots in 3, 2, 1….
From where are you taking those polls? It’s obviously not true.
Well, I guess that’s the definitive answer to the people claiming that Ukraine should capitulate to cease suffering. *Looks sideways towards Elon Musk*
Did they ask people on frontlines?
73%? looks way to high if you take in consideration all the devastation that comes with it.
It makes sense considering the alternative is what? Being a Russian slave? Russians treat Russians like shit. And how they treat Ukrainians we have all seen… fight is the only way forward.
New day, new poll.
Maybe rename this subreddit to r/opinionpolls
Should be taken with a noticeable grain of salt because the sample size doesn’t include residents of the territories taken by Russia and Ukrainian citizens who live abroad.
Well, not too many options to chose from.
What choice do they have? It really looks more like it’ll take a conventional Russian attack on the EU for enough Westerners to realize belatedly that WW III has been a thing since 2014, if not 2008.
Killing off political opponents or defectors in the EU hasn’t been threatening enough. Deliberately and sometimes literally pushing migrants over border crossings to Finland and Belarus has threatened enough either. Ditto for blowing up an ammo dump in the Czech Republic.
It’s as if Ukrainians are the only Europeans left who remember that “If the Russians stop fighting, there will be no war. If the Ukrainians stop fighting, there will be no Ukraine”.
It is always amazing how people think “ we will occupy this land and everyone will be happy. We will live in peace then”. No sweety… be prepared to confront groups taking over schools, be prepared to hear explosions in your capital and… planes going in to your buildings.
By Russia attacking Ukraine, it opened the pandora box. Regardless of the outcome, russians will face terror in their country sooner or later.
No country deserves subjugation. Fight Ukraine.
Maybe it’s the same 73% who aren’t willing to take up arms and go to the frontier.
How many of them are soldiers?
Anyone know how it looks in different regions? Would be interesting to see how regions that are closer to the fronts compare to for example Lviv.
Are they?
Sounds like propaganda. We need to be real about facts or war will be lost.
Why Zelensky removed Zaluzny who asked for 500k more conscripts?
It’s funny that both Western and Russian media refer to this article, but both are cherry-picking the parts they like more.
Western media mention the **willingness to endure the war**, Russian – **increased willingness to negotiate**.
Just take a moment to understand how media feeds us only the parts of the truth that serves its agenda. You can’t accuse them of lying, because strictly speaking choosing not to report the whole story but only a part of it is not a lie.
> With confidence in Victory, Ukrainians remain open to the negotiation process. In May 2022, 59%, and in February 2024, 72% of respondents agreed with the opinion that Ukraine should also look for a diplomatic way to end the war (however, it should be noted that the wording of the question was simply about such a process, and not about concessions).
At the same time, from 35% in May 2022 to 23% in February 2024, there were fewer people who believe that Russia can be defeated only by military means.
How accurate or biased are these polls? If they’d ask me, sure as hell I would answer anything they want to hear regardless of my views.
Even in peak democratic countries polls are heavily influenced and agenda driven to show whatever result the sponsor wants to find and pin on his flag.
In less democratic countries like Hungary, we have “National Consultation”, where our dearest leader can get results, where 95%+ of the votes support his case, while it is anything but representative of the population.
Now I’m pretty sure these results in a far from democratic, war torn Ukraine are anything but representative.
I don’t believe that poll, not Ukraine but the West that wants this war to continue
As long it’s at the other side of their country
What Ukraine needs to do now is build nuclear bomb. The promise of protection if Ukraine gives up nuclear weapon clearly not being honoured. So Ukraine has every right to rebuild its nuclear arsenal.
The 73%.of the ukrainians that fled the country and chill in hotels ? Ofc they are ready to endure such harsh conditions
Can’t say I blame them. From what we’ve seen in Russia war or death is better than living under Putin.
