I have a dependent visa based on my spouse’s blue card. During our Anmeldung after moving to Germany I hadn’t got a Tax ID Number(probably because I don’t have a job in Germany). I’m need of the Tax ID Number and had applied online couple of weeks ago through https://www.bzst.de/DE/Home/home_node.html.
I have now received a letter from Bundeszentralamt that is attached here.
While I understand they are asking me for some documents I have the following questions:
1. Should respond to this letter by email or through post?
2. In the second line it’s mentioned the Meldebehörde shares electronically with Bundeszentralamt about Tax changes.
I’m not sure what’s to be done next to get a Tax ID number.

Try running the text through DeepL to understand it better. It states conditions which would lead to the necessity of taking action.
You only need to provide any documents IF you do not fall into one of the four categories stated above.
If you just moved to Germany from abroad, you do not need to provide any documents.
BACKGROUND: You are asking for a new tax ID. There must be a reason why you do not have one already. Moving from abroad is a valid reason. If you don’t have an obvious reason, you must provide further documents for further checks.
I think, you can go to auslanderbehörde with your documents Ex: Your rent Documents Pass etc. In 2 Week you take a Letter from ausländernbehörde, It is your tax number. Firstly you can take a Termin from Ausländerbehörde.
