  3. while yes they are still providing weapons denying Ukraine long range cruise missiles is a huge mistake.
    one of the biggest problems right now is Russia’s production of various types of military hardware equipement giving Ukraine these long range weapons could do some serious damage to those production facilities

    U.S. being out of the fight (and NATO if/when Trump is elected), European arms manufacturing capabilities are nonexistent, and tiny armies mean war will soon be upon us.

  12. Whilst on the face of it this looks particularly bad. It must be said that this was a proposal tabled by the German government’s opposition, which means members of the government are pretty much forced to vote against it.

    We have a similar thing here in the UK, where MPs are forced to vote in line with their party and if they don’t then they will get kicked out (“lose the whip”).

    It’s playing politics through and through.

    Saying all this, I’m still not 100% confident that even a vote tabled by the German governing coalition would pass. If the political will was there why haven’t they done it already?

  17. Just to add some more information to this post. The german parliament has specifically requested the use of Taurus, which was denied. They are however also working on a proposal to supply Ukraine with “long
    Range precision weapons that allow Ukraine to hit strategic targets far behind the frontlines” – Taurus is that weapon system. So they are now trying to get Taurus through, without specifically mentioning Taurus.

  24. If I were in Germany, I would be demanding that all those who voted against the supply of weapons to Ukraine be investigated. This sounds a lot like the protesting Poland, all being driven by ppresident ShitCan’s far reaching manipulation.

  25. These long range missiles have been so successful for Ukraine that they could of ended this war if Ukraine had them in 2022.
