  1. Once all the contraceptives are gone, what next? Compulsory pregnancy?

  2. This is a HUGE issue! A lot of young people assume they will never be impacted by Dobbs–“I just won’t get pregnant!” Once they understand that they really won’t be having sex at all, will change minds pretty quickly.

  3. Hot take: If embryos are people, then they count in the census, and maybe Alabama is due another Representative!

  4. The gop wants abortion illegal nationwide and to criminalize still births and to make sure that if women have ectopic pregnancies that they die because of it, they want all contraception to be illegal and then they want to roll back gay marriage equality and interracial marriage. They want to take away all the rights the past decades have seen expanded

  6. The GOPs not so hidden plan to enforce the Comstock Act would ban any type of sex other than raw dogging. Condoms would be banned, vasectomies, birth control pills, all of it. It might even ban pulling out as that is a (generally ineffective) type of birth control.

  7. I’ve been telling my family that soon republicans will try and ban pregnancy tests, in an effort to force women to get their results from doctors only, those doctors will then have to register any women that have positive results. Once those results come back they’re going to either 1: Enforce a travel ban to states that perform abortions 2: Track women’s pregnancy to ensure they go full term.

  8. Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness are next. There is **no limit** to the amount of cruelty and suffering these people want to inflict on the rest of us. And they will cherry-pick, ignore, or just plain make up whatever part of their “religion” they need to in order to justify it.

  9. She is not wrong. Some insurance companies have stopped covering birth control pills already.

  10. Every sperm is sacred, every sperm is great. And if a sperm is wasted, God gets quite irate. – Monty Python

  11. We know this because they told us that’s what they’re going to do.

  12. Misleading title.

It should be “reminds” or “reiterates”. They openly talk about it, there’s no warning needed.

  13. Hilary has been damn accurate. She would have been a good president & we wouldn’t be in this orange shithole

  14. How can the court claim god as part of their argument? That’s just plain wrong.

  15. Let’s ban limp dick pills. If your god wanted you having sex he wouldn’t have made you a limp dick.

  16. Birth control was always going to be on the chopping board. It’s in the concurrence of overturning Roe.

    > Thomas, in a concurring opinion to the court’s precedent-breaking decision overturning Roe v. Wade and wiping out constitutional protections for abortion rights, said that he would do away with the doctrine of “substantive due process” and explicitly called on the court to overrule the watershed civil rights rulings in Griswold v. Connecticut, Lawrence v. Texas and Obergefell v. Hodges.

    > Griswold was a 1965 Supreme Court decision that established the right for married couples to buy and use contraceptives. It became the basis for the right to contraception for all couples a few years later. Lawrence was a 2003 Supreme Court decision that established the right for consenting adults to engage in same-sex intimacy. Obergefell was a 2015 Supreme Court decision to establish the right for same-sex couples to be married.

  17. Let’s ban limp dick pills. If your god wanted you having sex he wouldn’t have made you a limp dick.

  18. Imagine if after doing away with Roe v Wade, a Supreme Court justice, in their Dobbs concurrence, specifically targeted Lawrence v Kansas (sodomy laws), Obergefell v Hodges (gay marriage), and Griswold v Connecticut (contraception) as the next rulings that need to abolished. That would be a pretty frightening harbinger of things to come, right?

Well, wouldn’t you know that Clarence Thomas did exactly that. What the *FUCK* do you think the Federalist Society, Heritage Foundation, etc. plan to do next?

  19. Republicans will not stop until they have full control over everyone’s private parts.

  20. I’ve brought this up on Reddit multiple times and conservative leaning folk have deadass told me I’m overreacting. It’s only a matter of time though.

  21. ““Even before birth, all human beings have the image of God, and their lives cannot be destroyed without effacing his glory,” Chief Justice Tom Parker wrote in a concurring opinion. “We believe that each human being, from the moment of conception, is made in the image of God, created by Him to reflect His likeness.”

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the Supreme Court of the state of Alabama!

  22. This $hit isn’t funny anymore. I will choose death before I let some MAGA cultist have control over my body.

  23. As always, she is not wrong.

Here’s the Heritage Foundation from a Twitter post from May 2023:

    >Conservatives have to lead the way in restoring sex to its true purpose, & ending recreational sex & senseless use of birth control pills.

  24. Republicans are coming for divorce and birth control next

  25. Viagra needs to go too, and men need to stop masturbating and wasting their elixir. Get on it, Alabama!

  26. Well they’ve been falsely claiming Plan B was an abortifacient for years.

  27. It’s going to be tough for Republicans as more and more women refuse to have sex with them.

  28. That of course was the point of that ruling, to put child birth in God’s hands and eliminate IVF. She of course is right as birth control is next.

  29. >“Even before birth, all human beings have the image of God, and their lives cannot be destroyed without effacing his glory,” Chief Justice Tom Parker wrote in a concurring opinion. “We believe that each human being, from the moment of conception, is made in the image of God, created by Him to reflect His likeness.”

Umm. Separation of Church and State? Anybody?

  30. By now women are being targeted in many fields of life: It’s obvious that their freedom and even their full membership as citizens are under attack
