Whichever russian guy wrote this has great english, good for them.
How about no.
They should have done that before accepting the Baltics. Now you can’t change the basis of your relationship with Russia without fucking over NATO states.
Divide it into two parts and see which one lasts longer
It’s the opposite, it’s not big enough.
The more members join and embrace Western democracy over Russian medieval ideology, the better.
War between France and Germany was gone when France got nukes and work to reconcile was done anyway. NATO has little to do with that. This is as wrong as the argument about the EU preventing it.
It actually is worth reading the article before commenting. It is well-written and argued.
However, it reads like a semi-official offer to Russia, accepting Russian demands. Given that FA can be seen as the West’s Prawda, it makes me pessimistic that such an article is posted at this particular time.
Let’s hope diplomacy finds a way.
So, NATO = provocative
Meanwhile, Russia (which annexed Crimea back in 2014) and is making threats and preparing to invade Ukraine = a-ok
