Hi everyone, I received this bottle at work as a gift from our hungarian commercial partner, but I don’t know what type of booze this is. Google translate isn’t helping me much either.

What is this booze called? And what kind of flavour should I expect?

Thanks in advance 😁

  1. Wine of the kings, king of the wines.

    (Or something like that)

  2. Very sweet wine. Recommended mostly drink along with desserts. This is 5 puttony and there is only one upper than this in quality is the 6 puttony. So i would say this is a nice quality sweet wine.

  3. It’s like raisinwine, but with fewer raisins.

  4. Sweet wine but made without added sugar, high quality product, naturally sweet without additives aged in casks. After meal as dessert, slightly cold, perhaps along a cigar is nice too.

  5. Dear OP!
    This is my favorit wine.
    You’re welcome.
    Please give it to me.

  6. It’s a kind of botrytis wine. I’m not familiar with this producer, but can range from ok to very good. Best with desserts or as a dessert. It’s sweet and tastes like raisins.

  7. You can either drink it now or, following an old Hungarian custom of saving precious things, place it on a high shelf and never touch it.

  8. Naturally sweet wine, rare, high quality. The opened bottle will not expire for a long time.

  9. Dear OP, keep us updated, if you’ve tried it, i’m curious😂

  10. It is like port wine, but probably even better.

  11. This is [ambrosia from Mt Olympus](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokaji#), 5 puttonyos is only surpassed by the >$3000 a pop royal eszencia. Thomas Jefferson was also a huge fan and collector of these. Get some Eszterházy or Dobos torta to match it. I am too cheap for 5, so 3 is the highest I ever tasted.

  12. It’s from my favourite winery, that’s a nice gift to get.

  13. Hungarian here, this is a common gift when one’s child is born, then it’s stored until said kid’s high school graduation and decanted.

Or given as a gift at significant life events of the vintage of one’s birth year.

In other words it’s one of those white wines you can store for many decades. It has more sugar than Coke yet it won’t taste cloyingly sweet. Somewhat similar to Sauternes but a different palate.

  14. 5 puttyonyos Tokay aszú. really good extra sweet amber color wine,
