This is excellent. I want to thank him for speaking out with such passion. It must be so hard to be a combat medic and he’s clearly devastated by everything he’s witnessed. Yet some of these rich politicians living their comfortable lives are going on vacation instead of helping Ukraine.
I did something today I’ve never done before: I called a congressperson. It was Speaker Mike Johnson. I left him a message asking him why he went on vacation while Ukrainians are dying, and I told him to put forth the Senate’s bill to help Ukraine. His number is 202-225-4000 in case anyone else wants to call him and leave a bluntly worded message.
Also, remember, there are many places having rallies on Saturday! Spread the word on social media and tell your friends and family. The rallies are on this page https://klych.org/believe-in-ukraine and I think there are more listed here now than there were several days ago! If you don’t see your city listed here, search Facebook Events just in case there’s something there. That’s another place to look.
Vote. Volunteer to drive people to the polls. Maybe volunteer for a campaign and donate a few bucks.
In the very beginning of invasion, when Mariupol was encircled and we were watching Azovstal dying day by day, pleeing for weapon, and in return West was only dragging its foot or rather should I say – deny help. In those very days I thought that, while it takes courage for Ukrainians to fight back, it’s absolutely another level of courage needed – for foreigners, who unlike Ukrainians has another option (at least temporally), and still decide to do the right thing, even seeing that their own governments are doing the opposite.
best thing i think we can do now is everyone that wants ukraine to win, let’s pool together all our donation money and put in our own orders for 125mm shells.
Is that true? Is the front collapsing as badly as he is insinuating? 🙁
