What’s that? I am going to have to pay an extra £1000 or so to live in a country who actually wants to fund their public services? Sorry gonna pack up my family and move somewhere they respect freedom and my kids have to do gun drills
Be interesting to see how this affects hiring of high paid professionals. No families are unlikely to up sticks. But young highly skilled professionals who live in Scotland now or potential migration to Scotland certainly will make people think about job opportunities in the south. These people make up a large portion of our tax take and we should be tiring to retain and encourage more of these workers.
The new band is there to hide the fact that the increases in the basic and intermediate bands is actually going to raise more money.
