  1. “Kamila Grabska (36), from Ennis, Co Clare, told the High Court sitting in Limerick that she suffers constant pain in her back, neck and thoracic spine that left her unable to lift groceries or play with her children following a car accident on February 3, 2017.

However, a photo of Ms Grabska throwing a Christmas tree was published in the Irish Independent on January 8, 2018.”

    Caught. Rotten.

“Counsel for RSA Ireland, Murray Johnson SC, instructed by RDJ law firm, asked Ms Grabska if she ever told any of the many doctors she had attended since the car accident about winning the Christmas tree-throwing competition.

“No, because I forgot,” Ms Grabska said.

“Did it hurt you to throw the Christmas tree?” Mr Johnson asked.

“I had a pain, yeah,” Ms Grabska said.

“You had a large smile on your face as you threw the tree,” said Mr Johnson.

“I was smiling but that doesn’t mean I didn’t have a pain,” Ms Grabska replied.”

Such a brave woman, smiling through the pain…

  2. Saw this and came straight here to post it, amazing headline 😂

  3. That’s it? Just “claim dismissed” and no further consequences?

Fuckit may as well have a go at it so.

    Ouch….my back

  4. All these people should be prosecuted for fraud , it would make them think twice about putting in false claims and driving all our insurance up

  5. Insurance company PR machine in overdrive again.. ever notice how every dodgy yet in the grand scheme, inconsequential story makes national headlines? RTE News ran a story about a guy convicted for 5 years for running a car insurance scam for people that couldn’t afford premiums. He absolutely deserved his sentence and I don’t condone fraud, however the reporting never stopped for one minute to consider the root causes of why a black market for such things exists or why anyone would take the risk of buying one of these premiums…

Now if only this were matched by putting the insurance industry itself under the scrutiny it deserves….

  6. Not only that, she won the competition!

Can we actually start prosecuting theses leeches when they are found out, rather than just not giving them money.

  7. People like this should be banned for life from launching any further civil suits.

  8. Why does this not constitute as fraud? So anybody can take a claim with the chance of getting free money? That’s ridiculous

  9. She’s still claiming disability allowance every week

  10. I have back pain from lying in bed being sick for the last 3 days. I’m making 450k claim towards my health insurance as we speak, because I was sweating my favourite t-shirts all way through while having 39temp.

  11. I have a bulging disc + a ruptured disc for well over a year. Ive managed to run huge distances(including 2 marathons) while in constant pain……… Throwing Christmas trees would probably be where I draw the line tho!

  12. If she wasn’t greedy and when for something 250k or less, the insurance would have settled and she would have gotten away with it.

  13. Fucking lol! Got in a car accident a couple years ago that put my back out, couldn’t work for 2 weeks and had to do physio for 6months before i could go back to the gym or lift my 3year old again. It still hurts every now and again, but over 2 years later I still have to work on it. It will never be the same. I got 8grand, and this leech is looking over 3/4 of a million, fuck me pink

  14. People like this who make false claims are such an insult to people with legitimate pain and disabilities. It’s becoming all too common and society needs to send a message that we can’t tolerate it.

  15. Seize any assets to recover the costs and then deport.

We’re such a soft touch on these scammers.
