Royals on the Frontline: Which Family Members Have Served in Wars?

Many royal family members have held roles in the Armed Forces, but only a few have served in active war.

The late-Queen Elizabeth II joined the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) in the final year of World War II.

With a group of other recruits, she spent three weeks learning motor mechanics and how to drive a lorry.

  1. The Queen didn't serve on the front line. She helped fix a few trucks but didn't do as much as the women in the same regiment. They aren't celebrated.

  2. Royalty doesn't commit to the armed forces anywhere near as much as the normal servicemen and women from the population of the nation, yet they are celebrated as being the best of the lot.
    It's insulting.

  3. Parabéns pelos serviços prestados à Nação britânica e ao patriotismo da Família Real!
    Abraços do Brasil!
