Psychologically, we’re getting ready for Mad Max, I think.
“Why won’t anyone save us from climate change?” said the world’s SUV drivers.
Edit: This is what I see at my daughter’s school, which as a Quaker school, is about as liberal as it gets. As I’m waiting in line to pick her up in my small 4-cylinder Honda Accord, dwarfed by the giant SUVs/pickups that easily make up 8 out of every 10 vehicles, at least half of them have some kind of bumper sticker on them proclaiming something along the lines of, “Climate action NOW.”
The cognitive dissonance is staggering.
