That’s really odd. Ideally wouldn’t want your players to be prepared for the game to score goals rather prepare for something that may not even happen?
Can we invest in better physios and doctors instead of this bs when we’ve been rushing players back from injury to be injured right away again?
It’s not like the neuroscientists have all the players strapped in like clockwork orange. These guys are doing a little more research behind the scenes, probably going to boil their findings down to a couple of bullet points to share with squad on one of the final training days. Probably will offer a presentation to the coaching staff so they can make more informed decisions should it come down to a penalty shootout.
Our last two domestic cup finals (and a super cup a couple seasons back) have come against Chelsea and went to penalties. You wouldn’t second guess the squad practicing a few penalties as a group the day before the final, I’m not sure why the back office getting some analytical support is any worse.
Liverpool aren’t strangers to finding odd advantages. We brought in a throw ins coach, and it made a huge impact.
Wouldn’t they be better with a witch finder? Get rid of that witch Jurgen’s been going on about.
Considering we’d have to adhere to UEFA spending rules if we win I don’t think I want to win. The Conference League isn’t worth it for us. I’d rather finish 8th and not have the extra fixtures next season. Hoping Poch’s trophy allergy kicks in.
