You have to wonder what the dollar amount of losses against one another will settle out at. Ukraine IS losing equipment, but almost none of it is air or sea based. Those are the two expensive categories and Russia has lost a LOT in both.
The price tag of that plane is about the same as the New York Fraud decision against Trump. Maybe Russia shot down the plane to show how little this kind of money matters to a small handed business man and dictator like Trump?!?
Let that $300M and its crew burn beautifully for all the world to see

Some experts have said that this current focus on shooting down radar planes, long range air dominance fighters, and destroying SAM sites is to prepare the battlefield for the F-16.
I’d like to think Ukraine has an ace up their sleeve. They aren’t doing too hot in the ground war this last year but looks like they are trying to lay the groundwork for air superiority once the F16s are ready. Maybe optimistic but who knows?
