29. The Kanevsky district is about 200km away from any possible forward firing position Ukraine might have. The absolute maximum range for a Patriot would be 180km. Patriot is radar-guided. I just don’t understand why the target dropped flares before impact. Flares are supposed to work against heatseekers.
    Anyhow, an A-50 would be an immensely valuable target. The Russians don’t have many of them, already lost a couple and they can’t replace them any time soon.

    EDIT: The Russians say it wasn’t a Patriot. Hmmm, if true then Ukraine were using some serious new tech here.
