What are the penalties for specifically? All the articles are too generic. Something to do with his inflated asset values and defrauding banks. What are they for and how did they calculate it? Are the penalties going to banks or NY city?
So guessing is it like trump said I want a 100 million dollar loan from bank. I have 10 billion in assets and 1 billion in debits. They say okies, here is 100 million at 2% interest. That’s a safe loan for us.
What trump actually had was like 1 billion in assets and 2 billion in debt. Under those circumstances the bank would have been like dude, that’s Hella sketchy. We’ll give you 100 million but at 50% interest.
Then the penalties are the difference between those two options with a fine on top.
