To the average American, this situation bears all the hallmarks of another endless foreign war that we’ll end up fighting in
* as usual, we will spend enormous amounts of money, take lots of casualties and gain nothing
* when we come home, we will find our jobs are shipped overseas, they will tell us we are racist scum for complaining
* our leaders will get richer, their kids will avoid service
* we will end up losing the war somehow anyway, bringing further shame upon our military
* the ruling class will never suffer consequences
I’m just waiting for the draft to return.
“War weariness” is more imaginary Russian bullshit that they are hoping that we feel so that we get tired and leave them alone to murder and rape whoever they like as they please.
I am not in the least bit tired of supporting Ukraine. I will be tired of supporting Ukraine, when every last single Russian occupier is fed his own testicles through a straw.
I hope the Russians enjoy the F-16s that are coming as much as they enjoyed the Patriots, Storm Shadows, Scalps, Cesars, Zuzanas, Bradleys, Challengers, Abrams, Leopards, Gepard’s, Javelins, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera
I hope that they understand that until they get tired of trying to conquer Ukraine, we will never get tired of making life as unpleasant as is reasonably possible for them
It’s sad that many Americans aren’t educated about how brutal Russia is and what the Soviet Union did. People actually fall for the propaganda that Putin wanted to protect Russians. Do they not remember nukes in Cuba or all the other trouble they’ve caused? You’d think people would be eager to defeat Russia.
So far it costs us only money, while people of Ukraine pay with their blood

Putin can order total war, ask for further support from Iran, DPRK, and who knows what could happen
It seems like russians still have mentality like it was 19th century, or first half of the 20th century
I am starting to lose hope that there is chance for russia to become “normal” country. They would have experience crushing defeat like Third Reich and denaZification to realize they act just like ones
