  1. The economy has been a drag on millennials for the last two decades 🤷🏻‍♂️

  2. I had a friend who thought I was getting tons of tax write offs for having kids

  3. Maybe the boomers shouldn’t have pulled up all the ladders during the millenials’ formative years

  4. Human society has relied on exponentially growth model from begining to now. It’s that the earth has reached carrying capacity. Assumings everyone wants to live the American standard of living

  5. Doesn’t have to be. There’s a whole lot of people that would love to immigrate.

  6. I can barely afford rent and food. I can’t even think about supporting someone else!

  7. Welp, when you can’t afford to even live; this is the result.

  8. Until they realize that gen z is going to have even less children and that this is just the new trend

  9. It’s what the environment needs, much more important than the economy

  10. Americas leadership decisions for long term planing seems to be null n void most the time..

  11. 1. Immigration solves this “dilemma” 2. Just because you have kids doesn’t guarantee you won’t die alone, as the end of the article suggests. Maybe if society addressed the insanely high cost of education, housing and child care, then maybe a few more people might consider starting families. Our National turn towards theocracy and oppression of women’s rights isn’t exactly inspiring family building either. 🤦‍♀️

  12. My generation kills entire industries, according to headlines, and now, we’re also helping to starve the machine.

  13. Hell yes, we just got a power upgrade – now we’re destroying a FUTURE economy too! 🥑

  14. I’m trying to afford a turd little condo for half a million first before thinking of children lol

  15. Oh no! The pyramid scheme isn’t working anymore! Who’s gonna pay our way?? Let’s blame millennials for making wise financial decisions based on the economy previous generations have laid out for them and also for having the moral clarity of not bringing children into this parasitic society.

  16. Millennials: Don’t forget to add this to our list of faults, right by the Kennedy assassination and the sinking of the titanic.

  17. But they’re not saying is that this is a good thing. Fewer buyers means that the price of goods will come down and fewer employees means that wages will go up.

Remember that whenever they talk about the economy they’re not talking about you they’re talking about rich people.

A good economy means that the rich people are taking your money. A bad economy means that the rich people have to work harder and pay you more for your work.

But also if there is any real problem to a declining population we could just stop complaining about Mexicans coming over the Border and make it an easier process
