Russian Telegram poster’s take on the A-50 shootdown. His explanation, whilst trying to make it seem like an accidental friendly fire incident, ends up showing Ukraine as even more ingenious than the Ukrainian story. Interesting theory, but either way the plane is down!

OK, so, this theory is complete bonkers. Amount of mental gymnastics he gets through to write it is enormous.
Some how, they pretend that this is more realistic than patriot having 300km capable missile.
As the russian air defense has been proven (very) fallible, why not? It appears they have a problem with the system that prevents friendly fire incidents. Guess pu’tin is wrong here also.
Friendly fire thought a slow, lumbering, huge A50 was a missile? 🤣🤣
will find out the truth when Russian ADA head falls out a window
The question I have is…How many of these planes are left to shoot down?
I don’t understand why they attempt to belittle Ukrainian military capabilities at the expense of making Russian military look ridiculous.
But Ukraine will take that all day long, friendly fire does not really have a maximum range
I hear the S-200 flew so close to the plane that one Russian could see the swastika and the russophobic writing on the missile.
Apparently it flew in formation so perfectly they originally thought it was Tom Cruise hanging off the side of the A-50U.
How amazing and cunning. How this guy was so quick to uncover this tactic is also amazing. He is #1 brain in all of his oblast.
Keep it up Russia! Send up another fearless crew to uncover more of these sinister tactics!
I wonder what the cabin smelled like as the 15 crew members shat their shorts simultaneously?
Damn, how many times do your AWACs get shot at? Double embarrassing.
If you manage to maneuver a missile without interference next to an almost helpless aircraft, why would it matter if it’s a decoy or not? They could’ve even taped a few grenades to the missile and it would’ve had catastrophic consequences if they exploded as part of a “decoy” next to the cockpit or fuel tanks.
Makes no sense whatsoever.
If the Ukrainian S200 is incapable of hitting an air target … then AWACS plane could just … ya know … fly out of its path.
If it is capable of hitting an air target, then … the A50 would have gotten hit by the UA S200 or the RF interceptor.
Sounds stupid.
Whatever helps the guy sleep at night, I guess. 🤷♂️
Whatever make beleive they choose, the point is A50’s are going down in record number. If it was a ‘tactic’ then as George Bush once said: “There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.”
― George W. Bush
I mean…if Ukrainians made the S200 missile capable of reaching the A50, why would they simulate an attack on it and not try a hit on it? Either way, they would have goaded the Russian AA into firing. Oh well… let’s hope the Russians remain in complete confusion about what really happened and they repeat their mistakes.
The enemy? I thought this was a liberation….
“You can’t fire me, I just threw myself in a wood chipper!”
Ukraine targeting Russian AWACS before the F-16s arrive. Makes sense
Sounds like one of Victor Suvorov fairy tales 🙂
According to russian sources, like 75% or so of their aircraft loses in this war have been caused by friendly fire. While we all know this is bullshit, I think that would be even more embarrasing to me, honestly.
I mean, an air defence that can’t effectively protect your aviation from enemy fire is bad enough, but an air defence that is actively downing your own aviation at such a rate is another whole level, right?
This would work for average ignorant Russian. What doesn’t make sense, is the A50 using heat traps for a radar guided missile. Even if it was a friendly Russian system, none of them would be used to take out a long range missile like the S200. Tor, Buk, Pantsir, Tunguska(2K22), S300, S400, would all be radar or electro-optically guided missiles.
A infrared missile would basically be completely useless against an S200 at the end of its range. Its motor would have burnt out long ago and would have cooled down drastically which would make it almost impossible for infrared tracking. It CAN be done, I’m just not sure of the capability range of Russian infrared missiles. American AIM-9X can track hot or cold targets. It’s temperature search scale can be adjusted to see a cooler target against a cold sky where even a 5 degree temperature difference would be(just for simple explanation) like tracking a flashlight in a pitch black room.

Let me get this straight:
The Ukrainians tried to hit a plane with a S200, missed the plane.
The Russians then tried to hit a S200 with an S200, hit the plane.
The s200 hit the plane because the plane launched thermal flares to dodge a radar guided missile, causing the other radar guided missile to hit the plane.
Making the flight path unpredicatble seems to be at odds with the role the plane has. If you need to cover at specific area, you cant be flying off in random directions.
Russians will accidentally destroy their whole army
Vatnik copium tears are so sweet
No matter how you cut it twice is a coincidence three times is a pattern.
Regardless it was a genius stroke.
Dead Russians are dead Russians, I don’t really get wrapped up with who put them there…
It sounds like this guy is expressing a level of admiration for UA approaching godhood. The idea that instead of just shooting the plane down (straight forward and linear) Ukraine devised a strategy to almost shoot the plane down and tricked the Russians into shooting their own plane down. Based on this assessment the Russians should really just surrender now and save themselves further humiliation.
“The enemy isn’t capable of harming us. We are just incompetent” excuse
The more the Ukrainians can tear up the ruzzzian military the better for the west.
Occam’s razor calls B/S on this convoluted claptrap.
Copium is real.
I thought I was in NCD as I was reading this
Russia sure is having a run of bad luck lately.
Imagine invading a country and when they fight back call it “provocation operation”. This level of mental gymnastics can get you 10 score even from a russian judge.
Stupidity on the front lines, stupidity in the air.
Something needs to be done? Like leave Ukraine and you can keep all your remaining planes.
“We swear we are not stupid, just really incompetent!” -russia
i love how he ends with a statement that we need to counter this threat but i’m all out ideas
While Trump does his best to sabotage the American supply chain to Ukraine, the defenders themselves use imagination and agility. While the Russian dinosaur bumbles through the air, the little mammals move speedily and invisibly to bring it down. Ukrainian ingenuity continues to impress. Wonderful. And this is Day 731 of Putin’s 14-day war.
So they *simulated* an attack on the *decoy* missile? That means the plane shot itself…
Putler fired the air crew, so no more issue.
