Putin Should Remember That Biden Is a Cold Warrior

  1. >Putin, who was spoiled by the easy comfort zone of dealing with an admiring and clueless President Donald Trump, may be forgetting one thing: Joe Biden’s formative years were the Cold War.

    Might be that he remembers dealing with Biden and friends before.

    While Obama and Biden were in power, Putin has:

    * Annexed Crimea
    * Invaded Donbass
    * Intervened in Syria, ending years of “Assad must go” policy towards the country
    * Meddled in the US presidential elections

  2. >That is, unless his motives are purely domestic. The fundamentally weak economy, the rampant inefficiencies, the president’s sagging popularity and the pandemic wreaking havoc in Russia all point to a textbook case of producing a national security crisis to deflect from internal strife

    Hilariously, these “textbook” cases of wars as distractions for domestic purposes are largely absent from actual textbooks, considering that this distraction theory has is usually spouted without evidence by people who are unable to comprehend the actual reasons for armed conflict.

  3. Biden is a cold warrior, but don’t worry they’ll tuck him under his heated blanket and listen to his rambling stories until he falls asleep soon.

  4. It is obvious that Putin know that. Putin didn’t act during the Trump presidency because Trump favored Russia over Ukraine. Thus, Putin expected to achieve his aims by other means. Now that the old cold warriors are back at the helm, he switched back into cold war mode.
