I think it is very clear that the passing of his grandma is largely affecting him. It was also very evident that something was off today with his performance. Our thoughts and prayers are with Haaland and his family, lets all support Haaland and hope he gets back to his usual unplayable form soon with the tough run of fixtures in March.💙🤖🦾

  1. Oh bless him 🙁 I’m a few years older than Erling and when my grandfather passed a couple of months ago it hit me really hard. I can’t imagine still having to go out and perform in such a high intensity environment whilst also going through that. We have to support him x1000 right now, he’s our boy!

  2. I was a bit dismayed that some of the ManCity podcasts I listen to made NO mention of Erling’s grandmother passing away.

Instead, to me, it seemed like they were back on the *team better wo him* narrative.

Pretty callous for them to not even take 1-minute to say ‘gosh we understand he is going thru a hard time right now’.

adding – and some fans were not any better w the comments I saw on bluemoonforum – blaming Erling for playing & hurting team, showing ZERO compassion or concern for Erling’s wellbeing.
