With food, rent, healthcare, childcare, vehicle, & education costs skyrocketing as wages stagnate, more & more Americans are losing financial stability.
The good news is that all of this can be fixed with proper policy. From taxing the rich to increased regulation to providing the proper social services.

Exactly, most of the increase is in Restaurant and Fast-food eating.
That is not food cost, that is a service, that is labor cost, that is people being too lazy to cook for themselves and having developed a door-dash/uber eats problem.

Even within the food segment, Food vs. processed food should be filtered by category. Your TV dinner is also a luxury service, you are paying to have someone cook for you because youu are too inept or lazy to do it yourself, that is not food cost, it is value-added labor cost.
Food cost has not increased substantially, and no one in America goes hungry.
