Israel says it won’t carry out a major ground offensive ‘without evacuating civilians’ • FRANCE 24

Israel has said that it won’t carry out a major ground offensive until it has managed to evacuate civilians from Rafa something which AG agencies have told us they believe is impossible that they simply don’t have the means to deliver Aid to them um and that would mean displacing people uh who’ve already been

Displaced several times again and they said nowhere is safe to go but what you heard there with Benjamin Netanyahu um speaking out very strident saying that even if there was a ceasefire deal Israeli Tri would uh enter Rafa eventually um because he said several times that a total Victory against Hamas

Is the aims at the aim of his War one of them is also getting the hostages home um so he’s kind of repeating these these uh remarks once again in very strident fashion not giving in to the mounting pressure from the International Community to to pull back from uh this

Talk of an invasion of Rafa or an offensive on Rafa and I think it’s interesting there that this was a press conference in Hebrew in front of Israeli journalists and he’s also playing to the home crowd this was Netanyahu speaking out to the Israeli people saying that um

We are going to act you’ve got to have trust in us and you’ve got to have Unity he spoke about that several times in the press conference and there’s been mounting criticism of him um so he was kind of in some would say perhaps campaigning mode and there is a sense

Here in Israel that after this war ends he will have huge questions to answer if not he will have to resign and so he’s there trying to Rally the Israeli people around this cause and insisting that he still is taking a hard line here in Gaza

“Israel has said that it wouldn’t carry out a major ground offensive until it has managed to evacuate civilians from Rafah”, said Catherine Norris Trent, FRANCE 24’s correspondent in Israel. “Something which aid agencies have told us they believe is impossible- they simply don’t have the means to deliver aid to them and that would mean displacing people who have already been displaced several times.”

  1. Too bad for them. they used to have good jobs in Israel but they won’t anymore. Israelis were only people who cared about them. They had good life compared to refugees from Syria who live with their fellow Arabs who don’t give a damn about them. On October 7th, Palestinian collectively decided to screw themselves. It only then who could get rid of Hamas and other terror organizations. They decided not to!

  2. Is IDF SURE it has a tight noose? The hostages are in RAFAH ……. don't let Hamas wisk them away somehow.

  3. This is a moral issue. It's about a Palestinian nation facing genocide. Noble people of all faith and ethnicities around the world stand firmly against Israel's atrocities.

  4. As per history isrel is liar. Look at the history!!!!! How many Un regulation, Isreal compline. You can't trust them. They are the cursed nation.

  5. You should show the interview, where Netanyahu tells that they have " only " killed 1 civilian for every Hamas warrior.
    How to bend numbers!

  6. Ask him about the animals – the non-humans – is he going to evacuate them as well? God knows they are also terrorized and starving.
