   “First we must send the billions of dollars in profits that these assets generate to Ukraine. And then, together with our G7 partners, we should come up with legal ways to confiscate those assets themselves and send them to Ukraine too,” Sunak said for the Sunday Times.

   According to Sunak, confiscation is a way to hold the Russian state accountable. The British prime minister urged the West to be “bolder” in helping Ukraine in other ways as well, by giving it more long-range weapons, drones and ammunition, and by undermining Russia’s economic ability to wage war.

2. Better late than never

3. We might as well go all the way at this point, it’s obvious there is no way back to normal relations with Russia under the present regime. There are literally hundreds of issues that have to be resolved before that can happen, and no progress will be made until there is a government in Moscow that wants to make amends. They have to leave Ukraine, pay reparations, return the kidnapped children and so on.
