  1. I’m sure people would buy those. Cheaper than a bin shed.

  2. There is a guy in shetland that makes and sells something similar he started a business out of it, your ones look way nicer.

  3. Go to the patent office as soon as possible! (not too fast though, I need to make some!)

  4. Some sort of spring resistance with a flap that rests on the lid of the bin would stop the lid from opening as well. That could be the Bin Settler Pro model.

  5. Woo interesting, that said my bin sacked my dick neighbours car so…

  6. The colour matching makes me unnecessarily happy. Good job OP!

  7. We’d legitimately buy 3 of these. That would solve so many wind based annoyances.

  8. Holy moly. So simple, but so well done. These look incredible and I’d 100% buy them if I could.

  9. This is peak CasualUK-ness: bins, weather talk, simplicity, convenience and creativity all in one.

  10. I am sure you could market them commercially. But be quick before they get copied and imported!

  11. Now if you can invent something that stops the lid clatting your head or hands when you’re filling the bugger…

  12. My neighbours have their own process, they move my bins as they have their own fenced off area, move mine into my garden then cable tie theirs to my fence then claim its a communal space (its not) and how I am harassing them by arguing.

    Lol

  13. Well fuck that’s the best thing iv seen this year … oh wait I mean last ten years

  14. Great job, if I was going to offer any advice for v2.0 make them lockable. Either with a catch for a padlock or a built in lock. Some councils have green blue and brown bins so add that to the mix. Think about contacting the large house builders, you could just maybe shift some bulk volume.

  15. I’ll go all Peter Jones on this and say I don’t understand how it works.

Just kidding its a good job. If you do sell it, you could also sell some pptional accessories like a securing clasp or release pin set and the full on lock set etc. Some people might have major bin in the wind fear and want all the belts and braces if they’re worried the wind might still manage to push the bottom out and free the bin.

  16. Awesome!👊 Do they do the job? you need to Get that patented dude

  17. Add a step switch and a servo to open, when you get rich please remember the little guy.

  18. You just need a hinge to go with the bracket.

I wonder if anyone will get the reference.

  19. Dad, is that you?

Seriously this is something my dad would do, as a very practical, and now retired engineer. It was great to grow up with.

  20. Love this, might make a 3d printable version for myself!!!

  21. Get on dragon’s den lad, before someone off here nicks your idea , Deborah would be all over this.

  22. You know they sell wheelie bin brackets on ebay and amazon and other various sites , good luck with he future hope all works out well
