  1. I think we can all at least agree on that the real numbers will only be known after the war has ended. Whenever that will be. Both sides (especially Russia) do not show their true stats. At least Ukraine is probably a little more accurate than the Russian ones. But they too have to consider morale and hiding data from the enemy.

There is no real point in any discussions on this 31k number, if it is or isn’t accurate. It doesn’t matter right now. let’s just focus on supporting Ukraine to beat Russia out of all the occupied territories. We can all talk about the real stats when the war has ended.

  2. Seems to work well with typical ratio:

    31k death -> around 100k injured (admitted ratio 1:3) —> 130k casualties (dead + injured)

130k casualties for defender (Ukraine) -> around 390k casualties for the attacker (Russia) (admitted ratio 1:3 too)

Edit: For Ukraine, also better medical equipment and safer NATO vehicules for the crew, might have more injured

Edit 2: As usual Civilians (Ukrainians) will suffer greater, after the war, the numbers will probably be disgusting, early report during the Siege of Marioupol counted around 80k civilians deaths

  3. Why is there a shortage of Ukrainian troops across all fronts then? Why aren’t troops in rotation regularly? There were more active Ukraine military personnel than Russians at the start of the 2022 offensive? Why is Ukraine forcibly recruiting more people by day. Why more mass mobilizations? Are Russians blindly shooting in the air? How is there less casualties on the Ukraine side with 1:10 Artillery disadvantage?
I call BS on these numbers.

  4. Really fucked up of Trump that he knows how to end this war in 24 hours but he won’t let anyone know the plan unless we elect him.

  5. As much as I hope Ukraine wins, this is a gross underestimate. Why is there is a storage of manpower across the entire front rn assuming only 31k KIA out of half a million? The Russians are making a lot of gains. Zelensky should’ve listened to Zalzuhny and conserved manpower at Bakmut and Adivka

  6. In modern warfare, 31.000 killed usually means 2-3 times more wounded. Unknown how many are combat innefective afterwards, but many return to other duties.

But Ukraine has mostly been on the defensive, which means they are able to inflict much higher casualties rates on the attacker, Russia.

Russia is also sending troops in meatwave style, which leads to enourmous casualties!!

Russia has lost 3-400.000 troops and thousands of Tanks, IFV, hundreds of planes and helicopters.

  7. 31k is very unlikely and its also unlikely as claimed that russia lost 400k.

Both those numbers are inflated to the point you cant believe either of them.

Ukrain cant expect everyone to belive the killed ratio is 1:5 or 1:7 as they claim. Its unrealistic for this kind of ratio to be true for 2 years of war.

I hope ukrain will win but they cant say they are winning when they arnt.

  8. Big difference between Ukraine and Russia is the number of wounded. Wounded Ukrainians come back, Russian wounded either die, or go straight back into the meat grinder.

  9. This comment section has a single rule: do not cite any sources or evidence. Just share your opinion with random numbers and a lot of confidence.

I’m glad most of you are following the rule, good job.

  10. And yet the Repukeicans refuse to send money so Ukrainians can be a free country. Pisses me off -please vote these a-holes out!

  11. May their memories be a blessing. Slava Ukraini

  12. The states is saying roughly 350,000 Russians. That is an insane trade off

  13. Sad, they so badly just want to live and Russians so badly want them to die. Fuck Russia.

  14. That means Russia lost more men advancing 8 miles from the Donezk pre war border to Advdiivka than Ukraine lost in the whole war… yeah, Russia is totally winning this

  15. 31,000 – in perspective, the 11 week Normandy camapign cost the allies 53,000 KIA.

  16. Unfortunately that numbers gotta be about as false as the Russian ones. Its an absolute meat grinder out there – brutal.

  17. Holy shit the shills are out in force here. What’s Putins official count right now 8k? I’ve seen more than that just in videos killed over the last 2 years.

Yeah sure 31k is probably sugarcoating it, yet Russian milbloggers have repeatedly stated the quality of the individual UAF soldier is head and shoulders above their Russian adversaries. Plenty of 1v6 videos of outnumbered UAF holding their position singlehandedly to back that up.

You know what I havnt very much seen this entire war? Ukrainian uniforms in a mass casualty event. We’ve seen countless meatwave assaults from Russians, fields and trenches filled with their dead, soldiers using dead comrades as cover from drones. Russia would jump at the opportunity to show the kind of videos the Ukrainians show us, I just don’t think they happen as often as they’d like.

I’d say UAF dead is probably around 100k, RFAF around 200k, wounded and missing being multiples of those figures (300k UAF, 400k RFAF) attributing higher mortality rate for Russian wounded due to inconsistent medical standards and casualty evacuation.

This is why mobilization is such a hot button issue right now in Ukraine, they know it needs to be done, but to do it fairly is another task.

  18. War is awful. Is this the first time Ukraine has revealed its non-civilian casualties?

  19. Remember, these are the people who were defending the innocent and defenseless, people who did not ask for this fight, people who were fighting on the side of the good, people who would not have died prematurely if not for Ukraine having been unfairly attacked.
