He was great on Jericho imo especially season 2 where he got to play a bit more range. His season 1 character spent half the season with his own affair bullshit, and the woman who played his wife was just not a fun actress. Season 2 he got to do more and play a more nuanced character.
He could also grow a pretty badass beard

Damn RIP, always brought a tear to my eye when he got cut in Miracle. Buddy Duress just died on 02/23 too, I literally just watched Good Time yesterday and found out when I googled his name to see what else he was in. RIP to both of them
My BIL died at 49 from als. It’s vicious and unrelenting. My condolences to the family.
Jericho was a really good show. It sucks to have to die so young. I’m sure he’ll be missed.
