2. They can’t feed their own troops or evacuate their wounded or dead. Ukrainians are simply a drain on their supplies, shelter, and time.

3. As it gets to the later stages of this war, we will see more of this from both sides. At first when the prisoner exchange fund is empty you want to snatch as many POWs as possible, but the later stages this will build up and take a mass amount of supplies to keep them fed and nourished.
