**Ukraine’s president says 31,000 soldiers have been killed since Russia’s full-scale invasion began.**
Volodymyr Zelensky said he would not give the number of wounded as that would help Russian military planning.
Typically, Ukrainian officials do not make public the numbers of servicepeople killed in the war.
It comes after the defence minister said half of all Western aid for Ukraine has been delayed, costing lives and territory.

Us lost 291000 men from what google says in ww2 that’s 4 years of war. That’s still a lot of good men and women lost in 2 years of war. Praying for Ukraine!!
Each one of these heroes die defending their homeland for every 10 Russians that die invading.
I’d say the number is probably fairly accurate, minus the missing. Ukraine has seemed to be pretty accurate when they officially report things. They don’t report their casualties often, and this seems to be in response to Russian bullshit figures. I think being accurate works in their favor.

The sad truth is the real death toll is AT LEAST double that. But of course you can never let your enemy know how many of your own troops theyve killed for strategic reasons. Still, Russia is even worse for lying about death tolls. Their last public death toll announcement was just under 6,000 KIA
