  5. that figure seems impossibly low or the russian toll is also lower. thats a 13:1 death toll in favor of ukraine. actually now that i think about it in vietnam the death toll was like 20:1 in favor of the USA.

  9. That would mean about 130k casualties in total, 100k at the lower end 150k at the higher end.

    Why would there be a need then for more mobilisation efforts and if i remember correctly the need for 500k more men?

    Is it to bolster the numbers and train them to rotate existing units out of the combat zones, to defend the next line of defense if the russians break through or to start a new offensive?

    Because these numbers do not seem to hurt a mobilised country like ukraine this much, no i have not looked up the numbers of people at arms atm.

  10. Like i like real admission of wounded and kia because this give us more persoective about the situation in the frontline.

    But yeah i really don’t buy this, the number is to low and even the Ukranian telegrams don’t really understand why lie about the real numbers. I really would have believed 100,00. But 31,000? Yeah sounds more like a propaganda number, nothing bad with it, but still we may never know the real numbers.

  11. I can scarcely believe that. If the number was that low in comparison to the Russian KIA, there would have been far more incentive far sooner to release a death toll.

  12. Keep in mind that casualties and deaths are not the same. 100,000 casualties and 30,000 deaths can both be true.

  17. He’s just wrong and not telling the truth, they’ve lost far more than this. If they were only at 31k they wouldn’t be having the manpower struggles they are now and mobilized over 500k. This was the 2nd largest military in Europe behind Russia. Not to mention the early morning kidnappings that take place on men to send to the front. Downvote all you want.. it’s the truth and people are losing family members and friends, it’s a shame to lie about this stuff.

  23. Deaths are probably accurate. I imagine UA has a wounded ratio much higher. Alot of disabled vets from 2 years of fighting imo. UA actually made efforts to provide first aid & medical services much better than Russia.

    Wouldn’t be surprised if the ratio was like 10:1, so 31k KiA, 310K wounded/missing. More lives saved on Ukraines side but still alot of overall casualties, fighters knocked out of the fight

    As for Russia there numbers are probably close to accurate when you included DPR,LPR, Tic Tok, Wagner, convicts, Cubans, Serbian, Africans, etc in addition to actually Russian troops.

    My guess is their ratio is closer to 3:1, as first aid and medical services wasn’t even a protocol for them until recently.

    274 WIA

    So overall UA w/ 331,000 casualties, including 31k KIA

    Russia 410,000 casualties, including 137k KIA

    After 2 years close to a million casualties btw both sides plus civilians.

    War is Hell.
