This means that taxis from places with less strict regulations can drive to Leeds and work there without having to abide by the stricter regulations that local taxis do, undercutting the competition.
I don’t see the issue? Professional drivers should be held to very high standards of safety. Leeds probably also trying to reduce legal risk from giving out licenses to people on 6+ points and then they cause an accident. Easier to give that liability to neighbouring councils.
This is nothing to strike over. If taxi drivers don’t want this law to become an issue, then don’t drive like cunts.
They will just become Uber drivers with Wolverhampton licences
