you probably know the gilles de binche, the doudou or sinterklas as belgian but do you know “les marches de l’entre sambre et meuse” a folklore well anchored in traditions with several “marches” recognized by the UNESCO. I put some photos and explanation if you have any questions don’t hesitate !

* I can’t speak about les marches whiteout giving some link to the sound of the tambour ( We hear them so much during the 3 days of marches that we hear their echo in our head after the marche is over) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fv1A0k6UDAs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fv1A0k6UDAs) [https://www.amfesm.be/sound.php](https://www.amfesm.be/sound.php)
Each time i bring an American colleague to those, they always freak out to see that mix of alcool, axes, sabers, swords and guns without any ( or very minimal ) casualties 😀
