This headline kinda shocked me, because RCRA 8s are very much a regulated concern in my work with contaminated soil and ground water. But then I remembered that’s from the state, not federal agencies.
Alabama simply has deep cultural ties to arsenic and lead poisoning. It would clearly be an overstepping of federal authority to say companies couldn’t dump mercury in the water table anymore
