Yea because stealing from the govornment is like stealing from the mafia, nobodys allowed to get rich except them. but crimes among ourselves dont bother them, we all know the system is corrupt, the other part thats never mentioned is if they have prior convictions then of course its fair, we all want harsher penalties from criminals

4. My parents told me that if I kill someone, I can expect to spend 10year in jail, but if I rob a bank/post office/or defraud the tax system, I risk an actual life sentence.

5. In no sane world could property theft be deemed more serious than rape, murder or pedophilia. But here we are. Who runs the world? Rich people with lots of property who don't care about human life.

9. Nothing new come to South Africa where the goverments friend's blow cash machines up nearly every day if the machine is inside a shop they will hold the people ar gunpoint robbing them while the other's rig the machine with explosives

11. 20 years for that? The laws must extremely harsh there for the illegal possession and use of explosives because simply breaking into and robbing an ATM machine is definitely not worthy of 20 yrs in prison.

15. Can't see them getting 20yrs just for an ATM machine got to be a load of more serious offence to receive that kind of sentence

17. This is what politicians do all the time but it's concidered legal…. At least these robbers DO something for their job. The money is not stolen but retaken…..
