As controversial as it may be, it may be in Taiwan’s best interest to develop a nuclear weapons capability/policy similar to Israel (i.e., everyone knows they have nuclear weapons, but officially they neither confirm nor deny their existence)

Republicans have really no sense of honor, to accept bribes from old foreign enemies just so they can inflate their fragile masculinity.
Absolute power corrupts, clearly we need leaders who are servants of the people. Who will do the job in a most humble manner and whatever it takes to secure a future for our children and theirs. Humanity is flawed but the indomitable human spirit will make sacrifice for what’s right and never give up on paving a road to serenity instead of chaos.
People must band together to stand up and fight for what’s right.
This is why American must side with “good” and with what we say we will do. We said we would protect them if they gave up their nukes and were invaded… well… why are we faltering now? That is bolstering our enemies and worrying out allies. Especially our allies most at risk of hostile action against their sovereignty
Isn’t this our reality whilst Trump is on the horizon and the GOP remain hypnotised and oblivious to global threats. Ukraine and Taiwan remain critical geopolitical issues/causes that we have to care about. There’s no such thing as this doesn’t matter to us we’re on the other side of the world…..
Now it’s already in positive feedback loop:
The less help to Ukraine -> more fear of allies -> bolder authoritarian regimes and weaker International Law -> less USA have resources for Ukraine -> less help to Ukraine -> more fear of allies -> bolder authoritarian regimes and weaker International Law -> weaker Ukraine, USA, West and it’s allies -> WW3 stage.
It’s really strange that people just don’t see it, or try not to notice, distracting themselves by old globalization believes and by new rich escapism possibilities.
Modernity it’s like the result of reality where instead of Truman’s “Arsenal of Democracy” speech he was announced that USA, and its allies, will resolve all wars by continuation of “de-escalatory trade” with all conflicting parties, and by some magic way, this was worked.

If Ukraine falls Taiwan goes nuclear, South Korea goes nuclear, Australia goes nuclear, Japan goes nuclear. That is the world we are headed towards because the US won’t have allies, just former allies.
The big strategic difference between Ukraine and Taiwan is one has a long border with sympathetic NATO countries and the other is an island hundreds of miles from friendly countries.
If a conflict breaks out no way is Taiwan getting re-supplied like Ukraine so they better build massive inventories of munitions now and protect them with fortifications and dispersing them so they aren’t concentrated.
The US used to adamantly defend Tiawan, then Bush JR sold them out and pulled support as part of the negotiations for China to not get involved in Afghanistan.
Most Republicans desire to have U.S boots on the ground and have everything the U.S has invested heavily into ruined and damaged. If there are Republicans who disagree with this, then it’s their responsibility to change the direction now!
Only if the GOP are in Congress when it happens. Which is why US’ enemies are pushing anti-Democratic narratives so heavily in the media (online, cable news, radio, you name it).
Domestic production has been ramping up for the past year. The tech boom has only begun for military reveals. Bullying won’t work forever.

Maybe Taiwan should just give over their semiconductor abilities to China seeing as America can be trusted for support.
China ain’t dumb.
