Russia has the largest losses compared to all the occupation wars it has waged! In total, the Russian military has lost as many troops in the two years of war against Ukraine as it had at the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. Nevertheless, the Russians mobilized to restore the lost potential.

  1. About the same losses as Russia suffered when fighting Finland during WW2. Finland also lost territory but they survived. I think Russia had about 1 million dead and missing and wounded from those two wars.

  2. The longer this goes, the more diminished their capabilities will get. Ukraine meanwhile is becoming more familiar with NATO gear and is getting more and more sophisticated equipment. The next (Wagner) army rebellion won’t negotiate with the dwarf in his mansion.

  3. Bet they’re willing to throw a million more into the grave to prove their point.

  4. The idea that Russia can continue to sustain these losses indefinitely is strangely prevalent. Clearly it is not sustainable and clearly Russia will pretend otherwise up until the moment it all collapses.
