Get fucked. My wife and I had our son through IVF, and we of all people know that an embryo does not equal a baby no matter how much you wish it would turn into one. By the time you’re arriving at IVF as an option, *you have tried everything else*, and to pile even more onto the people that are so close to the reality that they may never make their own human is disgusting. It’s such a hard process, it’s full of ups and downs, and just getting to the point that you have viable embryos means a whole shit ton of things have gone right.

Article is off a bit though. The problem is not embryos that do not result in pregnancy. The problem is that many embryos are created but only a few are implanted. This leaves many extra embryos that are cryogenically stored. Most people pay for a few years of storage (until kid is born) then have the embryos disposed of. That’s what’s the problem
