“Creme Eggs aren’t calorific enough, so I’ll use brownie mix to make sweet Scotch eggs.”

  1. I clicked on this post and now I have type 2 diabetes .

  2. As a one-off sweet treat, why not? Not supposed to be eating creme eggs all the time anyway, so what’s the harm in making one even more indulgent?

It’s not the recipe writers fault that people have no self control.

  3. Jane’s recipes are lit. Although sometimes too many fillings in cookies, it’s less cookie and more chocolate chips or whatever she has come up with lol

  4. If you want a really really good and high calorie stuffed cookie get to Chulo’s in Edinburgh. Cookie stuffed with vanilla fondant and a creme egg topped with mini eggs. Comes with a side of diabetes. Absolutely amazing.

  5. Listen!

Get one of those Jus Roll Croissant tube things you buy to make your own croissants, use one of the pre cut triangles and wrap up a creme egg inside one. Few mins in microwave

    Chefs kiss

    Edit. I meant oven. OVEN

  6. I’ve seen a similar recipe that does similar – except instead of brownie they wrapped them in rice crispie mix (not sure if it’s the syrup version or marshmallow, but don’t suppose it matters!)

  7. You should be on a list, disgusting!
(Can I get the recipe please)

  8. >You can use shop bought brownies, and shop bought buttercream to make it quicker and easier – **there is no shame.**

Well… until you’ve eaten four of them. Then the shame should kick in quite swiftly.

  9. Nah, these sort of things are amazing. My fiencée makes fudge scotch eggs for easter from her small business, and they are amazing. (Although she does different flavours and i prefer the ones that use a different egg centre, like oreo eggs or cadbury’s caramel eggs, because i’m not a big fan of creme egg filling, but still)

    Also jane’s patisserie slaps

  10. I’ve had similar – where the creme egg was in a layer of chocolate ganache and rolled in chocolate flakes. They were from a chocolatier in the lake district. Was amazing!

  11. How do I order some of these? And by some of these, I mean a lot of these?

  12. I mean they look amazing, but I did have to chuckle at this part of her post about them:

    >Homemade or shop bought brownies, a Creme Egg or whichever soft centred easter chocolate you prefer, and sprinkles… **it really does look like a scotch egg**!

I dunno what kind of scotch eggs she’s eating but it definitely doesn’t look like a scotch egg… I’d still be tempted to make them though!

  13. I’m signed up for a 205 mile bike ride in June (1 day). I calculated that if I ate 48 cream eggs – one every 20 minutes for 16 hours – that would be about enough calories..
