I thought Davies actually extending his contract felt like a long shot for the past few months. If he indeed wants to join Real, I think it has to be this year. Can’t risk losing him for free in 2025.
Lets be honest here, any sane player that gets a starting spot offer from Madrid would make this move compared to our mess

If true, I like him, but his play has stagnated for a while now and while I think there are way more players that should be sold ahead of him, maybe it’s good for both parties.
That said, I hope we get a good fee for him but with him only having a year(?) left on his contract and us having a relatively good relationship with Madrid, I think it’ll be pretty modest.

The guy always had Real Madrid as is dream destination, so the move makes sense. For us, it’s imperative to negotiate a transfer this summer so we can reinvest in the squad.
Phonzy owes us that much, at least.
He has been great for us, but his speed is clearly his saving grace. He probably will drop off soon.
Would be cool if we don’t go the Pavard route by trying to covince a player who wants to leave until the last second and than go in panic mode. It’s clear he wants Real. Start negotiations for his replacement now and get this sell done as soon as possible.
This summer is going to be crucial on so many levels, we need to get the obvious deals done asap and get to planning.
