Everybody is welcome to Scotland. You’ll find your stay worthwhile. Only a few things I can recommend you not to do just out of respect is 1. Don’t call us English and 2. Don’t start any fights!. Your foreign accent will often keep you from getting into bother anyway so no danger there. Enjoy your visit!

I would usually recommend eating in a restaurant or a pub. Ideally one with good reviews and services food and drinks suitable for your taste and dietary requirements.
Deacon brodie? ( not sure of spelling ) On the Royal Mile, if you wanna try some scottish food it’s a good shout !

Goto to Edinburgh and ask them what its like living in England? I want to a fly on the wall for that one.

It’s very smart how they build the castle in the middle of the city and you don’t have to travel outside to visit. 10/10 will visit again.
