Absolute scum.. how are the government and supposed water regulators allowing these water companies to go completely unchecked. Sewage being pumped into the sea and rivers is a genuine ecological disaster yet they’re allowed to get away with it and pay a small fine. A fine that means nothing to them as they’ve collectively made over 72 billion. Then they get a couple million pound fine and that’s it. They pay and continue doing what they want and we end up with legitimately shitty rivers and seas while the water company bosses give themselves massive bonuses. All from taxpayer money. This again comes down to the corruption of government and the greed of the rich. Get them away from power.
Farmers are to blame as well, the amount of agricultural waste dumped into the rivers by them, instead of them paying to have it disposed of properly, is disgusting. You’d think they’d have a bit more respect for the land they make a living from but clearly not. Again it comes down to saving them money and fuck anyone that wants to use those rivers or streams right?
People, start paying the 50 quid to make a claim against south west water and put them through the courts. Even if you don’t want to go ahead with it, make up a number and slap them with it. You might make yourself some money from these scum. Take everything you can from them.
